This Month – So many Christian People around the World are fasting. Most are for a 21 day period. A lot are doing the Daniel fast; others are doing some type of other fasting. Just to be making a sacrifice for Christ. All is so important to do. What I am teaching in the Churches we visit this month; is the Importance of fasting. Not just in January for a 21 day period, But to make fasting a Part of your Lifestyle on a regular basis. Matthew 6:16-18 see the scripture says when we fast, not if you fast. I must tell you fasting will result in Many Spiritual battles in your life being won, And in Our Church Corporately , Fasting as a body in one mind will result in Church Growth in so many ways it will be unaccountable, So take sometime today and begin a fast , And You will Immediately see the results. Take time and read Isaiah chapter 58. Also Let me say Fasting without praying is Only a diet, So Find time for prayer; and with your fasting, the Holy Spirit will direct you from there , And we say; Happy New Year, And hope to see you all as we travel this year,

The Vulture and the Sinner;

I was driving along the other morning; on my way to work. I came upon a vulture in the middle of the road. He was feeding on something unidentifiable. My mind begins to wonder at “why they did that?” WHY WOULD SOMETHING DEAD; be appealing to them? I thought the sinner is no different. They too feed on darkness and death. I thought of the scripture in Job 28:7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:

The sinner has similarities to the vulture. Where there is no JESUS there is no life… They live in their sin. And sin produces death. To live in something; in turn you have to feed on it. We are designed as humans to feed on something to give us strength and nourishment. Do you feed on Life? Life is Christ… or are you more like the Vulture and feed on worldly things. Things of this world are not life. Only Jesus “who stands in intercession for you and me “can give that to you. In John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

He also said in John 14:6; “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

What do you feed on? The bread of Life “Jesus” or the things of the world “Sin”?

“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me….” ~Psalm 138:8;

Speaking to my heart for the past few days, the LORD has said that HE began a work in me that ONLY HE can finish. What a real ‘load’ this takes off me… I don’t need to be striving for perfection, because GOD Himself said HE would do this for me! Philippians 2 vs. 13 says that it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. This means it’s HIM ALONE that puts good thoughts in our heart and good deeds in our hands. Every way you look at it, He’s got us covered!

Well Glory. It is a popular word with me, and just recently I thought of the true meaning, and no better time of the year to have this type word to be given to me by the Holy Spirit. (GLORY)!!!!! When I think of how many times the word of God has been made true in my own personal Life it amazes me. The word says his word will not return Void, and the Promises are yes and Amen. I like what the word also says about Eyes Not Seeing, And Ears Not Hearing What is in Store for the Children of God. It is going to be Glorious, and makes me want to shout Glory!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you we Love and appreciate each of you from all over the world. Remember Jesus Loves You and he is soon to Return. Oh What Glory that Will Be (1st Corinthians 2″9)

Are You Weak Enough? Quoted; Adrian Rogers.

BIBLE MEDITATION:
“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Have you ever felt too weak to win the battle? Friend, you may not be weak enough. God identifies Himself with our obedient weakness. It is when we stop trying and start trusting that God’s power can be manifest. You see, your weakness is not a liability; your weakness is an asset. The battle is not yours; it is the Lord’s!

ACTION POINT:
If only we could learn that God does not need our strength. God calls for our obedience! God has the strength. And He wants to give you that supernatural strength in place of your own. It is not your ability; it is your availability. It is not your fame; it is your faith. It is not who you are; it is Whose you are!

        As we get ready to celebrate the upcoming holidays, let us pause for just a moment during the busyness of all of our preparations and give thanks to our God for His boundless love to us and His great faithfulness. Not only can we enjoy the work of our own hands in preparing the delicious meal set before us, but we can taste and see that the LORD  IS GOOD……Our hearts should sing along with the Psalmist to “Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous, it  is fitting for the upright to praise Him….Psm 33-1

        The results of praising God is that our faces will be radiant, as he clearly states in Psm 34-5

        On this special Thanksgiving holiday, let us all share our love for Jesus as we spend time with our dear friends and family. God’s loves to hear the praises of His people, especially our “heart’ praise. I wondered how I could ever thank God enough for all the blessings I enjoy. I was reminded to simply thank HIM “from the heart” for loving me. Join with me in prayer as we thank Him together for loving us. May you be truly blessed as God hears your hearts prayer of thanksgiving and may you enjoy His smile in all the beauty that surrounds you today.

I want to thank you Lord for loving me

For all the things that you do

And the blessings I’ve received

For the friends you’ve sent my way

Prayer Request!

Let’s keep Casey “Yvonne’s granddaughter” in our prayers. .She is in CCU after having a third reaction to a drug they gave her today when she went for her treatment at the wound clinic. She has had a really bad time lately.  She also discovered a lump on her breast last week that will need treatment as soon as possible. Please pray that they find the cause of all these cysts, and that God will give the doctors wisdom in treating her. He sixteenth birthday is coming up Christmas Eve……I believe in miracles……

Let us all remember that lost name we know. We each have lost in our homes and family. Let take a moment this month and lift that one up to the Lord. Ask Him to bind that old devil from that person’s soul.

God’s Word is a Record of Prayer; Of Praying people and Their Achievements. No One can read the Instances, Commands, and examples of Statements that concern themselves with prayer, without realizing that the cause of God and the success of His work in this world are committed to Prayer. People who don’t pray have never been used by him. A reverence for God’s holy name is closely related to high regard for His word. This hallowing of God’s name, The ability to do his will on earth as it is in heaven, And the Establishment and glory of God’s kingdom are as much involved in prayer as when Jesus Taught men the Lord’s prayer. Let us all realize the Importance of prayer; And also; He who ordained it to be. And let His word forever dwell within you

News from Pastor Cook!

Prayer is the greatest opportunity to communicate with our Heavenly Father. It is in the times of prayer that we have the opportunity to honor our Lord first with praise. Secondly we have the opportunity to thank Him for all that He is and all that He has already done for us through sending His son to bring about the GREAT SALVATION with all of its benefits. Thirdly we can make request to Him and He will always hear us and we know that if He hears us then we know that we have the answers to our prayers. The Church as a whole desperately needs to get back to praying with fervency for the lost and helpless. If you want answers to your prayers, stop begging God to do something for you, and after making your request known, began to thank Him in immediately for the answer.

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Thanksgiving is coming up soon. What does Thanksgiving mean to you? To me, Thanksgiving is a special time to reflect on the blessings that God has given us throughout the year. He has done so much for us throughout time. He gave His only begotten Son that we could have life. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” That is a blessing beyond compare. I could not give my only son to die for a world that is full of hate and corruption and that curses my name on a daily basis. Let’s make sure this Thanksgiving to give God the praise and thanks He richly deserves.

Caleb Robinette will be going into surgery on October 28th to have his tonsils removed. He is asking that everyone please keep him in their prayers. He believes God is taking care of him and watching over him as he goes thru this time.

I am having my Tonsils taken out 10/28/11 and I am so excited to be finally getting it done. And well; I am really starting to believe what Dad feels in his spirit. And that is that Jesus is really coming soon. And The Cross Really does have all the power to save and heal. Colossians 1:12 (KJV)

1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father. Which hath made us made us meet tp be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

Qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints; this refers to every promise and provision of the gospel for the believers who are delivered from the power of Satan and are translated into the kingdom of God ( COL 1:12-13; Acts 26:18; 2Cor 1:20; JN 14:12-15

Colossians 1:13

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

The word translated here means to be delivered from Satan and his power and kingdom of sin, sickness and depravity to be placed under the government of the Son of God’s love. This transfer is made possible by redemption through the blood of Christ. ( Col 1:14)

Colossians 1:14

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

It is only in Jesus Christ, that we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Compare Col 1:14 with Eph 1:7 and Col 1:9*11 with Eph 1:15-18; 3:13-21.

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

It is through the BLOOD of Jesus Christ and His cross that Salvation was made available unto all men who would believe in the power of the BLOOD and the CROSS.

It’s been said, “Character is what you do when nobody is watching. Character is how you treat people who can do absolutely nothing for you. Character is how you react when the pressure is on. Character is deciding beforehand that you are going to do the right thing.”

Every day we’re faced with decisions — many of which are made when no one is watching, at least no one we can see. But let’s purpose in our hearts to do the right thing — because character truly counts. We may not see the dividends immediately — but be assured that God is keeping track of our decisions, and He will make good on every one!

Now let’s see how many tickets I sell, or donations I get to help feed the hungry. People will purchase a ticket for themselves to eat a meal, but will they donate money so the truly hungry, homeless can have a meal. And the jail is empty h…ere now, because we have built a huge Prison in EC, and it will cost millions to upgrade the old jail before it can be used again, so why not let this ministry use the building to outreach to the community?

REPENT!!! For The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand. John the Baptist did not have a really extended Vocabulary or an In Depth Knowledge, But for certain knew the Very Most Important thing we all need to know. And that was to “Repent” and to be ready to meet our Lord. To me nothing else in this day should matter. REPENT!!!! Knowing that we know for certain we are ready. The Scripture Also tells us in Luke 12: 40 Therefore you also be ready for the son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. We see the things happening all around us and the signs point toward his soon return, In fact the word tells us to look up when we see these things taken place. As it appears not too many people are looking at this like a Prophecy thing at all. Would you say Not Expecting?? My Friend the World is not expecting His return. Again I will give the most important thing one can do at this point REPENT!!!! And I would once again refer you to Luke 12: 40

The Word and Devotions:

I got this a few months ago from someone very dear to me. I took her devotion and made Christmas presents from it. She was so touched by the ideal; I decided that I would use this in the word and devotions this month. This was written By Diana; my very sweet and dear cousin. I love you Di… We may not have the same earthly parents; but we have the same Farther!

2 Cor 10:4 FOR THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL, BUT MIGHTY THROUGH GOD TO THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONG HOLDS

Jesus has always been there for me and he will be for you too.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things (and all includes even my things) work together for good to them that love God,

My first ROCK

What do I mean? “My first Rock” Well the story goes a little something like this. We read in Matthew 4 verses 1 thru 11 Where Jesus being led by the Holy Spirit. Was taken into the desert where the devil tempted him. All 4 times the devil tempted Jesus,

Jesus answered with. “The word” beginning each reply with “it is written”

Now who is the word? John 1: verse 1 and 14 tells us that Jesus is the word.

Verse 1 in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and word was God.

Verse 14 And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

Now if we look at 1 Corinthians 10:4 We’ll find where the bible says, and did all drink the same spiritual drink; for they drank of spiritual rock that followed them.

And that ROCK is Christ.

So putting all of this together the word is JESUS and JESUS is the ROCK.

So what have we been given to throw at the devil? Pretty interesting!

We have a very real enemy my friend, and he doesn’t come to us with a pitch fork. “NO” He usually comes at us much more suttle. Through circumstances, through work, through friends and family who usually don’t even realize that they are being used. He is a spiritual enemy so our effective weapon is the spiritual weapon. “THE WORD”

Ephesians 6:17 Take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God.

Think about David. How did David kill his Goliath? Read 1 Sam 17:49 and when I say as his Goliath, I mean that everybody has a big problem. Now really consider this, our first inclination is to say that David killed Goliath with a sling and a stone. But if we were to back up a few verses 1 Samuel 17: 45-47 we’ll find that before David ever slung the stone he threw the ROCK. When he said to Goliath you come at me with a sword and a spear and a shield. But I come to you in the NAME OF THE LORD. Praise the Lord! It was more like a boulder. “YES” it made Goliath laugh. But I suppose you could say David had the last laugh.

I want to leave you with few stone to put in your sling shot. Stones that have been found in that pure water clear as crystal. That flows straight from his throne. You’ve already heard Romans 8:28 so, here are a few more…

Matthew 19:25 With God “with means you and me walking together with our God” all things are possible.

1 John 4:4 He that is in me is greater than he that is in this world.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Romans 8:37 I am more than a conquer through him who loved me

2 Corinthians 12:9 His grace is sufficient for me, His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my Salvation. Whom shall I fear the Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid.

There’s you a few smooth stones my dear friends.

Remembering Cory Price

WVSG Radio would like to remember the life of Cory Price this month. Cory enjoyed Swift Water Rescue, Rope Rescue, diving and fishing. He was a member of the Chapmanville Volunteer Fire Department and the Logan Fire Department and worked for the Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Association (LEASA) and Task Force 1. Cory was also a member of the First Church of Christ of Chapmanville.
Cory went home to be in the arms of our Savior Monday, August 8, 2011

Let’s remember little Landon Hickman, Landon is the son of Donald and Christy Hickman. Landon is 3 months old and is now in East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville Tn. Landon is suffering from a series of seizures. His little body is having them one right after another. The family may be sent to Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tn.

Let’s remember the family of Norma Gilman.

Lately I have been down. I have had one battle after another in my body. I had to be hospitalized for a couple days. All test come back good, Nothing found bad at all, Still my Body is Overwhelmed with Extreme Fatigue, I realized the attack of the devil and what he is was trying to do to me. Not until I started Looking up for help instead of looking down or around at the situation did I realize where my help comes from. By Looking Up; To Jesus I started to receive Strength in my body and my Fatigue has now started to leave, See when I looked up I had no other choice but to speak the name that is above all others, JESUS!!!!! And Now My friend I am on my way to recovery, See at the name of Jesus the devil has to flee. And so does his little tricks he tries upon the Children of God. Now I say to you Look Up. And speak his name.

News from DI;

What would you think if an Angel of the LORD came to you saying, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” …? (Judges 6:12).

Gideon immediately gave 3 reasons why he wasn’t ‘all that’, but the LORD saw something in him that Gideon had yet to discover!
The Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon and with only 300 men (who proved their worthiness by lapping water like a dog) defeated the entire Midianite Army! And so it isn’t always what we think of ourselves… but rather what GOD thinks of us and what, thru His Spirit, He enables us to do.
2 Cor 3:5, 6; “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from GOD…”

The Word and Devotions:

Attributes of a Christian

Christian – Christ like; the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch . Act 11:26

The name Christian was at first a derogatory term, referring to the people of Christ.

The Jesus would never have referred to them as Christians; because that would have been saying “they were people of the Messiah.”

The word Christian occurs only 3 times in biblical passage. Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28;

and I Peter 4:16.

I Peter 4:16 – Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

To be a Christian “You must be born again.” (John 3:5)

After being born again you need to grow.

II Peter 3:18 – But grow in Grace and in the Knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now and forever. You are to have a radiant life.

Matt 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.

What are people seeing when they look at you? There are certain characteristics that the Bible tells us we should have.

• Colossians 3:12-17 – Bowels of Mercy = Heartfelt Compassion.I John 3:17 – But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

• Kindness – Romans 12:10 – Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Webster said kindness is the state quality or habit of being kind. A kind act.

• Humbleness of mind – not proud, not self asserting, Modesty, Not to think yourself better than anyone else. Matt 18:4 – Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 23:12 – And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory for selfish ambition or conceit. Let us esteem others better than our selves.

•Meekness – Submissive, Mild and Gentleness. I Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: James 3:13 – Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. James is talking about teachers. Godly wisdom is necessary in a teacher. They must exhibit a meek and practical application of the truth. Are we not all teachers? Someone is watching our life. Therefore we are teaching that person. One cannot teach what one does not live.

•Long Suffering – enduring and Patient; James 5:07a – Be patient therefore, brethren unto the coming of the Lord. I Thes 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].
•Forbearing one another – self control, patient, resistant, bearing with, merciful. Matt 5:7 – Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Jesus himself became the ultimate example when he cried on the cross. “Father forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

•Forgiving One another – Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

•Charity – Love; here it is called the bond of perfectness. Love is required for perfectness of spiritual maturity. It will bond all others virtues together in harmony and unity. I John 4:20-21 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen , how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. Matt 5:44 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matt 22:37-39 37,Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

•Peace of God’s rule in your hearts – John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. There is tranquility of mind freeing us from fear and worry which passeth all understanding. Peace divinely bestowed in times of anxiety so wonderful that it exceeds ones ability to understand it. James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

•Be ye Thankful – I Thess 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. In every circumstance the Christian is to give thanks to God for the good he can bring out of the event. Even if the event is unpleasant.

•Obedient can also be added – II Corinthians 2:9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

•Pure – Free from adulterant or anything harmful. Free of defects. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. The believer is to stop letting sin have mastery over his life.

•Sincere – without deceit or pretense, genuine. Philippians 1:10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Titus 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

•Zealous – Full od Zeal, enthusiastic – Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.•Courteous – Polite and gracious. I Peter 3:8 Finally, [be ye] all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, [be] pitiful, [be] courteous.

•Unity of Mind – Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

•Hospitable – friendly, receptive or open to another without grudging.

•Generous – willing to give or share, Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said , It is more blessed to give than to receive.

•Content – satisfied, to satisfy. Hebrews 13:5a [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: I Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

• Steadfast – Firm, fixed, constant. Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

The whole Duty of Man

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing , whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

Our character is manifested by the decisions we make in our daily life. It is a repenting way. When we say we can’t live a Christian life, we call God a liar. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Matt 19:26 With men this is impossible, but with God all thing are possible.

July’s Featured Artist;

Jim Wyrick and Jackie Shockley, These are the two faces that form Jim and Jackie.

Jim Wyrick lives in Maynardville Tn. Jim is the successful owner of Union Gold Recording Studios. He has been in the music industry for some time. He started singing at age 9… Jim has had several songs to top charts on the billboard from his country music days. He learned that his heart and soul were not in country music and moved back home to Maynardville; where he started Union Gold Studio’s. He found his true roots were singing for the Lord. Jim started a trio called Union Gold Trio. This group successfully made several albums – Upon the departure of the one of the member’s; due to work. Jim found himself looking for the person to fill that spot. That person never materialized. However, one evening at a popular spot “that Jim runs” called “Judy’s Barn” this is a spot for local artist to come and sing their song of Praise – “came Jackie.”

Jackie was singing contemporary Gospel music. Jim knew right away she was the “Tenor” he was searching for. Jim had a vision of bringing back the old Louvin Brothers sounds; and remaking a few of their hits with a different twist. Jackie’s tenor voice surpasses any I have ever heard, “said Jim”.

Jackie lives in Corryton with her husband Ben of 32 years. Ben and Jackie have a dog name Spud and a bird. Jackie enjoys her pass time with yard work; gardening and singing.

Jackie has been singing for more than 10 years. She remembers back to the night of her salvation. She said she was at revival when she was 16. Jackie strives to do all she can do to win Lost Souls for Christ. She says “that’s what we’re all in for “Right”

Prayer Request!

Pastor Steve: Let’s remember Pastor Steve; He is battling his illness in his body. Lets pray he continues to heal. Let’s pray earnestly for the RADIO STATION to far exceed any expatation we have here.

Kathy Snyder: She has an aneurism. Pray ALSO; for Trish her daughter to have strength. This prayer request form last month. Kathy has since went home to be with Jesus. Let us remember her family in this time of sorrow.

Ty Hurst is 7 years old. Ty faces a string test in July. He is diagnosed with a disease that causes tumors to form and grow on his organs. He has been through a lot in his 7 years here and God has moved tremendously in this little fellow’s life. Pray for good test results… Continue to pray. Ty went Wednesday.

Let me first Start by asking you a question? DO you really realize the hour we live in? Sadly most people do not. I know we have been appointed to do the work we are doing. And that my friend is to warn the people of the soon return of Jesus the Son Of God. (SUDDENLY) The Word tells us that he will appear suddenly like a thief in the night. We see a lot of things beginning to take place suddenly. (Storm, Earthquakes ETC…) This alone; should make us want to prepare for the moment when he suddenly appears, as these Storms are sudden so is the return of Christ and Even Quicker. The only Warning is now, Please be ready to meet him. While we still have the chance. Look deeply into his word for understanding of being prepared; for this sudden appearance. May God Bless You and Your Families and Peace upon Israel ?

I do not even know where to start. God is so good. Steve and I are seeing such a move of God. Revival is in the Air. I like the saying Wake up and smell the Coffee. Well we should really wake up and smell Revival because I do believe The Spirit is now being poured out upon all Flesh; And The Spirit upon the Flesh. Well the Flesh Man Dies and The Spirit man comes alive. We look forward to seeing so many of you as we travel the roadways from town to town. Please when you hear about us coming close to you come out and be with us, you will be blessed. Well it is off to getting us ready to go again packing and unpacking is all we do it seems. News from DI;

Lately, I’ve been praying hard about not letting my emotions control me, especially anxiety. What is really interesting to me, Jesus was so very aware that anxiety is a very real concern, He devoted a fair sized portion of His Sermon on the Mount to the problem of Anxiety (Matthew 6:25-33); We also find Apostle Paul, Philippians 4:6-7, giving this advise: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. These Scripture have really strengthened me these past few days, but there is still one more that has not only helped me catch my breath, but has actually stopped my heart from racing… Isaiah 65:24;”It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer…” WOW! Know what this tells me? That GOD is already on it!

The other day, I had dinner with one of my friends who have been a part of the anxieties for a couple months. I wondered how I was going to get thru the dinner without stressing over their problems again. Before I prayed that the evening not be this way, I noticed our little waitress had a catch phrase she was saying after everything we asked… “No Worries!” I must have heard her say this ten times! But you know who I was really hearing? GOD… Abba, Father, telling me “No worries, sweetheart, No worries…I got this.”

The Word and Devotions:

On my way into work on this warm Saturday morning; I drove by a home; I drive by everyday. I thought of the occupants inside that home. Although, I do not personally know them; I know of them – and the struggles they face. I never see cars there. I have often wondered; “Do they have children?” They are up there in age; and the lady is suffering from Alzheimer’s. I wondered as I drove by this morning; “How does their everyday life work out? Does she ever look at her husband and wonder “WHO” he is. I am sure she does.

She came by a Local Business one day last year. She had lost her way home. She couldn’t tell them “who” she was or “where” she lived. They checked around to find out where to take her to. She was led home “that day” by strangers who had the compassion to care. But; one day she will be Led Home by the angels to enter the gates of Glory. The compassion of the Savior will meet her there to welcome her home.

I pondered the thought this morning; do they know My Lord. Does she remember who He is? He remembers her. Then I thought; What if she didn’t know him before her mind left. Does she remember in her HEART that He will save her if she asks? My heart was troubled for the unknown. In this; I will seek God’s leading Grace to show me the way. And the lady; will she do the same? I can not say.

The word says: [There is] no remembrance of former [things]; neither shall there be [any] remembrance of [things] that are to come with [those] that shall come after
Ecclesiastes 1:11

So today; I ask; “are you prepared” You may walk a spell here and not know your loved ones. Everybody could be a stranger to your eyes and heart. Will Jesus be a stranger? Will your Heart know him even if your mind does not? The mind can be affected by the disease of Alzheimer’s. Your heart can not. Your heart knows.

He loves you and awaits your call! Just call out to him today. Remember Him always! Don’t let the fleshly diseases we suffer here Rob us of the joys of living for a TRUE LIVING GOD!!!!!

June’s Featured Artist;

Haley and Josh

Haley Brooks is 15 years old (will be 16 on August 11th). She will be a junior at Union County High School when school starts again this fall. Haley is an honor student, a cheerleader, and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Haley lives in Maynardville , Tennessee with her parents, Rick and Karen Brooks, and her two brothers – Zachary and Tanner. From a very young age, Haley showed such musical talent on the piano that it was unbelievable. Music is her passion and it shows. She not only plays the piano and organ but has taught herself to play the guitar. She loves to write songs and says the music always comes to her first and then she puts words to the music. To me that is incredible; but I am not a songwriter. Haley hopes to have a career in music. Right now she plans to attend Belmont College outside Nashville , Tennessee . One of the reasons she has chosen Belmont is because there she can major in Music as well as something else. Along with her musical career, she hopes to one day be an orthodontist.

Josh Collins is 24 years old. He graduated from Union County High School . He lives in Maynardville , Tennessee and his parents are Scott and Nancy Collins.

He started singing with his mom and dad; at a real young age in local area churches. After a while they stopped singing’ In his sophomore year of high school, he joined the Choir. My senior year Josh made All East and All State as Baritone. After he graduated, he sang with his family for a while; and then left the group to spend more time with his finance Jordan and my church family. Where he met Haley and wanted someone that he could sing with a little and it just happened that she was a great singer and wanted to sing a little herself. Josh says; I love singing and although I am not looking for a career out of it. I hope that God uses Haley and me to lift up his name.

Haley is basically very shy but last year began to sing and let her talent show. She was the winner of the Union County ‘s Got Talent contest last year and also was the winner of the Fall Talent Contest at Union County High School . She sang the National Anthem at the Union County High basketball games last year. She and Josh began to sing together quite by chance. Josh asked her to harmonize with him on one of his favorite songs “My Heart Knows” at church one night. She did and the rest is kind of history. When people began to hear the blending of their voices, the requests began coming in along with invitations to sing at different churches and different functions. Then people began requesting a CD of their songs. Haley had always wanted to record a CD so this was wonderful. More importantly, God provided the means for the CD to happen. He is so good to all of us!!

In late March, she and Josh recorded their first CD at Big Mama’s Recording Studio in Seymour , Tennessee . The CD is titled “There Is a God” and contains their favorite songs as well as a song written by Haley – “To My God”. Response to the CD and their music has been overwhelming. People are already asking them how long until another CD is ready. Haley has already written 2 more songs so hopefully they will record again in the near future. God has so richly blessed them and their music.

Josh and Haley are both very active members of Community Baptist Church in Maynardville , Tennessee . They sing in the Youth Choir and Haley is also the Assistant Organist. They love the Lord and hope their music is a BLESSING to all who hear it!!!!!

Hey Guys

Well all is good for me; Dad is taking us all over the place. I have been to over 60 different Mc Donald’s, and I am not sure of how many Game Stop Stores. And all these different Churches we’ve attended; it is like the best ever. When a Baby runs out of Milk It Cries and Mom and Dad Give it Milk. When I run out Games or Chicken Nuggets I cry (Not Really) But Dad Knows when I am low on supply he needs to hurry up and fill me up. So I will be quiet, And My Friend Jerrod he has been a Big Help to Travel with us to keep me company. We have Fun. He is learning a lot about Jesus. He now keeps a cross with him at his house we had it made for him. Oh Yeah! “Never kids get mad over something and be unruly”. It never pays. My Dad showed how a parent is to show Love when I do be mean things. Well let’s just say this. It was a bible kind of time for me. He went by the book on this one no doubt. He said; it was because he loved me so much he corrected me. Ok Dad Stop loving me so much, LOL

Please remember a very dear Sister; this came from Sister Yvonne Shook in PA. I am writing to ask prayer for my sister-in-law Eleanor. Her son, my nephew, was found dead last night at their home and this is the second child they lost. Her daughter also died suddenly a few years ago, and I lost my brother, their dad, last year. My sister-in-law Eleanor is a believer and loves Jesus so very much, but is understandable shaken right now. We covet your prayers….Thanks so much……Yvonne

Ty Hurst is 7 years old. Ty faces a string test in July. He is diagnosed with a disease that causes tumors to form and grow on his organs. He has been through a lot in his 7 years here and God has moved tremendously in this little fellow’s life. Pray for good test results…

Grayleigh Williamson, she is 2 years old and can not keep anything down for almost a month, her blood count is 5.5 and it should be 12 to 14. The doctors here can’t seem to find what is wrong; they are going to call a specialist and send her there. Please pray for this little girl for healing.

Bethany Meyers is 20 years old. She is in Fort Sanders Regional in Knoxville Tn ,

room 414. Bethany was born with Spinal bifida. She has been in the hospital for the last 3 months. Please pray that God heals this baby body.

Mrs. Miller’s Hot Turkey Grilled Sandwich

•4 slices bread
•Butter one side of each slice
•1/4 cup hot pepper mustard sauce
•1/4 cup mayonnaise
•Mix together and spread onto unbuttered side of each slice of bread
•4 thin sliced smoked turkey breast
•2 large slices Swiss cheese, medium sliced
•2 large thin slices of tomato
•Layer over pepper jelly and make 2 sandwiches with buttered sides out.
•Place into pre-heated, non-stick skillet and fry over medium-low heat until golden on each side, flipping once

Well here we go. And all I can say is WOW!!! Revival is in the Air. As we thought it was going to be. The Revival in Pie, WV was one for the record books for sure. It was scheduled for only 3 nights. It went 10 nights, Each Service was extremely powerful. I 5 people were saved. Cancer healed, a man Paralyzed from his Waist down is now up walking – and several other Miracles. I tell You God is so good. We are very busy now out on the road Big Time; Looking for a real move of God this Year. As we draw nearer to the end. I would like to encourage each of you to come be with us when we are in your area. A Special Thank you to all of our team for their tremendous Work; Sis Patty, Sis Yvonne and Bro Floyd just to mention a few of them. As I set and look back at all the years I spent with my Dear Mother; I think how I could show her more Love. Or I think of how much she really meant to me. Well now Mom is gone to be with Jesus; and I finally realized what it is that makes her the Happiest. And that is to know – That Her Daughter is serving the Lord. As a Young Lady – I often prayed for God to give me The Husband that would Serve God with me. And Have a Holy Home. And Well now Mom would be so proud; I am doing exactly what Would make Mom Happy, and the Lord Gave me Exactly what I ask For. I am thankful today for Our Ministry and Being able to see God move In a Mighty way every time we go out to preach. We do Love Each of You so much. And I too thank Our Wonderful Team that we have behind us keeping us plugging on for Jesus.

Prepare the Way:

Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Many believers have a special place, a quiet place where they go to spend time with the Lord. This is a very important thing. But how many believers have actually ‘prepared a way’ for the Lord? As sacred as that special quiet place is to us, it is limited. It has definite boundaries. But a way never ends–it goes on and on. The key of a life of blessing is not preparing God places to fill, but preparing a way for Him. The Hebrew word for way is ‘derech’. Derech means a path, or a way of life.

If we want to be blessed, we need to prepare a derech in our lives. We need to develop Godly ways, Godly habits, Godly consistency and practices. We need to turn all our holy places into holy ways that carry on throughout our daily lives. The blessings of God need to flow through us to others around us– let’s give Him a derech through which to do so. There’s so much work to be done!

We can not reach the World with the Word; without a little Work!

April’s Featured Artist;

EVIDENCE!!!!

For one former Union County native, a life-long dream of a full-time music ministry is now a reality. Baritone and guitarist Buddy Coppock along with wife, “Jo Jo”, and lead singer, Diana, have begun a journey that is opening doors never before experienced by the trio individually. In fact, their new album, “Under His Wings”, was produced by Danny Kramer at AMG Capital. That story, in itself, is “evidence” that a higher power was at the wheel opening doors that are typically impossible.

Evidence writes all their own songs. These songs have people in the industry talking a lot these days about the future of Evidence. The group’s name came about because everything they do is evidence of God’s goodness, mercy and salvation.

3 Different Artists from 3 Different Backgrounds
All three artists have sung publicly since the 70s and 80s. Buddy Coppock grew up in the Big Ridge community of Union County where he and his four sisters sang together in church each Sunday. At age ten, he was elected song leader and continued until he said God called him to preach at age 18. After a two year tour in the United States Army and Vietnam , he was ordained and elected Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church. His testimony through his songs and words connect with the listener as evidenced by the response of people – a mixture of tears, joy and folks lifting their hands in agreement.

Jo Jo grew up in Corryton , Tennessee and her Christian experience began at age 11. Jo Jo and Buddy met via a misdialed telephone number and Buddy says he fell in love with Jo Jo because “she had the sweetest voice I’d ever heard.” She began singing with the gospel group Centurians with fellow members Buddy Coppock and Kyle Whited between 1979-1985.

Diana grew up in Knox County where she began singing in church at age 4. She says one day while doodling at her drafting table, she had drawn a picture portraying Jesus Christ on the cross in the palm of God’s hand. It was then she understood the extent of God’s love and asked Jesus to come into her heart. She says, “All that I am is because He (Jesus Christ) is my everything.”

3 Different Artists Create One Unique Sound
Buddy attended a church where Diana was singing and thought she had a unique voice. Buddy had always imagined the ‘perfect’ harmony for a trio and there was just something about her voice that made this hope a possibility. After hearing Buddy play guitar, she remarked, “You play guitar like my stepdad!”

He says at the time Jo Jo hadn’t sung since 1985 and he wondered if she would be willing to try out the new sound he thought might be possible with their combined harmonies. Buddy recalls the first time he and Jo Jo met with Diana to see how the harmony would work. “We coaxed her into singing Precious Memories and the harmony was exactly like I imagined,” says Buddy. This was ‘the’ sound Buddy had been looking for. Evidence cut their first CD after singing together for three months.

An Incredible Story
An email and a phone call
Buddy says that after they recorded their first album, God blessed them with a website. Tim Parton, Dolly Parton’s cousin, has a radio program on WJBZ in Knoxville , Tennessee . Tim was searching websites for talent to put on his radio program. Tim emailed Buddy to request permission to play selections from Evidence’s first CD. Buddy called Tim to get address to mail CD. During this conversation, Tim suggested Buddy call Danny Kramer at AMG Capital to see if he would be interested in signing us to his label.

Record Exec thought I was someone else calling
“I had no idea how significant this guy was until later,” Buddy says referring to Capital producer, Danny Kramer. Danny answered the phone and Buddy introduced himself. Buddy says, “Anyone who knows me understands how I joke, and now I have this producer on the phone. This might make other people nervous.” Danny and one of his best friends have a running joke between them. They call each other and say they have the best group in the world. When Buddy called, Danny mistook him for his friend and started this joke. Danny said, ‘I guess you think you have the best group, best song, best sound and probably even sound better than Gold City or the Kingsmen, correct?’” And Buddy said, “Of course”. Danny then asked, “Those groups couldn’t even hold a light to you, could they?” Then Danny and Buddy both laughed. Danny then said, “How are you doing John?” Buddy said, “Excuse me, this is not John.” At that point you could have heard a pen drop. Danny replied, “I am so sorry, I thought you were my friend, John”. Danny and Buddy then had a more serious conversation about Evidence and their music ministry.

Danny said he would be in Savannah the next week and that if Buddy were down that way, to contact him. Buddy, who is a truck driver, just happened to be in that area the next week. “Danny was so down to earth, he climbed right up into the cab of my 18 wheeler”, says Buddy. Come to find out, the record executive was a former box truck driver who had penned a number one song that won a Dove award, ‘He’s in the Midst’. Danny asked to listen to some of our original songs. He spent several hours listening to our songs. During this time, I knew we had made a spiritual connection.

Before he left, he said he thought our songs were wonderful and he would be getting back in touch. That initial meeting was in April 2007 and Evidence’s first recording was set for June 13th. They recorded the entire project in Greenville , South Carolina . Evidence was surprised at the amount of time major labels require to release recording projects. This latest CD, Under His Wings” was released in February 2008. Their first single, “This Is God”, was released to over 1,000 radio stations in over 34 countries. Early results show it has been well received and played on radio stations throughout the U.S. and Canada .

American Media Group recorded videos of all ten songs from “Under His Wings”. These videos are currently being edited for television. Evidence crossed another milestone, when they were invited to appear on a new television show, Great American Gospel. These shows will debut later this year on Gospel Music Channel (GMC) and other satellite Drive, or you can visit their website at evidencepuregospel.com.

Evidence has a current single out; now at radio stations is receiving lots of air play. The single is “His Father’s Eyes”. Our first single was “This is God” and came in at number 69 on the charts. Our current single came in at number one on radio station The Light Atlanta in just three weeks playing by request.

Prayer Request!

· Let us remember this month two young men.

One – is Healing from alcohol abuse. Finally after hitting Rock Bottom; he started to seek Help. Thank the Lord he had a Christian Sister and friends to turn to. He is now coming out of Rehab and doing great! Let pray God continues to heal as he seeks his way. PRAYER PRAISE: Since this was written and before the release.. I am happy to report this young man has God Fingerprints all over him. Please remember to pray. Satan will work on one he is losing the hardest….

The second one – is going through a Divorce and healing will be slow and painful. Let pray this young man seeks God’s counsel. That is all that will pull him safely through.

· Syllus Parker and Pat Sellers – Lost their sister this month. Let us lift them up in prayer.

When praying for healing; don’t just ask God to heal you; but say – Father (Once you heal me, I will use this as a testimony to you) WOW!!

Father’s Day is June 19th…

“Walking In The Shadow of the Son”

Many years ago, as a child, I remember taking very long walks with my dad. It was something that he cherished doing since receiving a miraculous healing. He had been crippled from an early age. His ankle was crushed from a run-away horse. It left him unable to get around, and he had to depend on crutches more and more as the years passed. But with his healing, he felt like a new man, and he took advantage of every opportunity to walk.

I remember trying to walk in his shadow as I tried to keep up with his fast pace. My little feet would get so tired, but I always felt safe being in his shadow, because I knew that he was close to me. When I couldn’t see his shadow, I grew fearful. In my young mind, I thought that if I couldn’t see it, I would get left behind. I was reluctant to go on our walks if the sun wasn’t shining.

Life is like that in our relationship with Jesus. To walk in the shadow of the SON brings comfort to me, because I know that I am safe. It doesn’t matter whether the sun is shining, or the storms clouds loom large, we remain safe in His shadow. His love is consistent, and there is sweet peace in the shelter of His love.

To be safe in Him, we must willingly follow His footsteps. We can place our faith in Him, and have assurance that He will never leave us alone. He walks with us daily, through the storms, the rain, the troubles, and every anxiety that causes us to fear. Like the great poem, “Footprints In The Sand” we may only see that one set of footprints at the most traumatic times in our lives, and question why, but that is because He was carrying us in His arms.

I have found that through the years, Jesus has always been there for me. I’ve been instructed to walk many miles, through some really dark, deep valleys, but He has always protected me and He allowed me to walk in the shadow of His wing. Many times I fell hard, feeling defeated, and actually feared going on. I didn’t have to be afraid of being lost or left behind. In fact, it was in the deepest times of sorrow, that I felt closest to Him. He taught me to put faith before fear, taking one simple step at a time. Just like the small child that I was, I found refuge once again in my Father’s shadow.

So as you prepare to take a walk, on a bright sun-shiny day, remember to walk in the shadow of Jesus where sweet peace abounds. Listen for the gentle whisper in the wind, as His voice bids you to follow closely in His shadow. Don’t be surprised when you notice an extra bounce in your step, a smile on your face, and maybe even a song being sung from your lips, as you realize that your constant companion is walking right beside you, protecting you as you remain safe in the shelter of His shadow.

2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

6 small Apples peeled and diced

¾ Cup of Mountain Dew

Spread apples on the dough; Roll up the apples in the Crescent rolls..

In a Well buttered 9×13 pan lay out the Crescent Rolls. Sprinkle with Sugar and Cinnamon. Pour the Mountain Dew over top..

Bake at 350 degree oven for 30 – 35 minutes.

Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!

Hello to Everyone. Please Read Matthew Chapter 28.

Let me take a few moments of your time. And Lets look At the Risen Savior. (Jesus) Over 2000 Years ago. This Precious Lamb Was Slain Upon the Cross, For The Sins of Mankind. That You and I can Be Free today From the Law of Sin’s Debt. Now Covered by the Blood of the Son Of God (Jesus) Or Should I Say It Better; God’s Grace, The Word tells us it is Sufficient for us. Not only did He Die on the Cross, but he was taken down By Joseph and Wrapped in Grave Clothes. I like to look at it as If “He” was wrapped In Love. And That Love Covered The Multitude Of Sin. He was anointed with Herbs and Spices as well. See Love Has a Sweet Smell, where Sin Odor is awful. I like to look at this point too. The Custom In that day by The Romans; was to leave the Body on the Cross for a Long period of time. To leave it open to Shame, then Embalm the Body. Where Jesus Was Wrapped In Love; Took Down and anointed with Spices. Can I ask- Are you an anointer or an embalmer? Bringing Christ to an open shame- Or Anointer and Wrap in Love? Now he was placed in the Borrowed Tomb. And On the third Day came back to Life. This to me is so very important. He Arose! Just like you and me; when he died on the cross; we did too. And When He arose again we did too. Now setting at the right hand of the father; waiting for instruction to come get the ones he laid his life down for. Or Should I say the anointers. The BLOOD BOUGHT REDEEMED. Remember this when Celebrating His Resurrection. Know that his Promises are true, that He Does Promise to Return. My Friend all signs say that is very soon… I would like to also encourage you to read the last Chapter of Revelations. Soon Our Lord will return. The Legend of the Dogwood Tree

Long ago, of all the forest trees,

that towered strong and tall.

The Dogwood stood above the rest,

the stateliest tree of all.

This was the tree the soldiers stood,

on Calvary ’s bare hillside.

Cut down and carved into the cross,

on which the Savior died.

But Jesus blessed the dogwood

so that now it is a tree,

Low branched and bending earthward,

for the smallest child to see.

Each of its cross-shaped blossoms bears

four nail prints stained with red.

And the heart of every bloom is like,

the thorns which crowned His head.

And though this tree reminds us,

of the sorrow on that hill.

Let me tell you all about a few things. One is our recent trip Washington DC . Stacy and I were able to help prepare Gift Bags for over 338 men and women as they returned home from Afghanistan . WVSG Radio Has Joined forces and will be helping Operation Welcome Home. We will be supporting them on a monthly basis financially. To help buy Product for the Gift bags, for other troops returning home. As they come into our nations Capitol from their tours of duty. We congratulate each of them. I have had several requests from some of our listeners. They wanted their loved ones in jail to receive the Newsletter. I am happy to report; that this newsletter is making its rounds. The ones that are receiving this letter are sharing it with others. WOW! At one of the prisons; I am told that after it had made several rounds. A guard asks to see what he was sharing. So not only are the other inmates reading the Gospel, so are the guards…God is such a Mountain mover!!!

The LORD told me this morning that I can’t be living in my emotions; the way I ‘feel’ about things may not necessarily be the truth, and if I look back on my past, I would find that maybe less than 2% of the things I’ve ever worried about have actually came true… and then, it wasn’t as devastating as I thought it would be, because He already prepared me!

A little over two months ago, the LORD KEPT giving me John 16:33… Gave it to me SO MANY TIMES, I lost count. When there are over 35,000 verses of Scripture in the Bible, and even one is repeated twice… it’s something to consider; three times… there should be absolutely NO DOUBT one has heard from The LORD. I know He gave me John 16:33 at least a dozen times!

These past few weeks, John 16:33 has rang in my heart like Westminster Chimes… and I’m praising my LORD for this valley on my way up…with a cheerful heart!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Does Sin Bother You?

I was faced with a situation the other day. In a conversation among friends and co-workers; I started feeling very uncomfortable and had to excuse myself. I realized at that moment; how much I am different “changed” from the world.

Does sin bother you? It did me. I had to step back and look beyond the circle I was in. God places people in certain places at the right time. NOW; Was I quick to get in the conversation and participate? No; I was bothered by the situation and realized at that moment just how changed I was. BY God’s grace I am changed! Are you changed?

My devotion this month is from Ephesians chapter 4:22-24

ARE YOU BOTHERED ENOUGH BY SIN; TO SEE THE CHANGE IN YOU

Ephesians 4: 22 -24

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness

Do we put off the old conversation of the old and past deceitful person we once were? The father wants us to walk in total peace. Now to do that; we can not EVER go back to those old conversation and places we once were. Those are dead to a child of God. Verse 23 is the bridge between the old person and the new person you have become. Are you crossing the bridge of verse 23? Are you renewed in the spirit of the mind? As you cross over; you are a new creature that God the father has created in righteousness and true holiness.

Are you transformed “changed” (Romans 12:2)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Webster’s Dictionary says – Transformed: given a completely different form or appearance. Is your appearance so different, that to see you; one see’s Christ first.

So now ask yourself – Does sin bother me? Not asking you to judge…sin is sin. It is very recognizable. Stand up to it; make it known that SIN BOTHERS YOU. Don’t be a participant…Be a child your Father can be proud to call his own.

Be changed! Created in the Image of the Father!

April’s Featured Artist;

Ron Campbell’s love for radio began at an early age when he would listen to a little Phil co radio as a young boy at his home in Anderson County , South Carolina .
As a teenager, he began his career in radio by filing records for WBBQ in Augusta , Georgia . With his great radio voice he didn’t file records for long. He was quickly hired as a radio announcer. He moved on to WMSJ (now WRGS) in Sylva, N.C. and then to WJES in Johnston , SC. From there he moved to Taylorsville , North Carolina where he announced for WTLK for many years.
In the late 1960’s and early 70’s he was announcer from 7 to midnight at WIVK in Knoxville , Tn. He was also master of ceremonies for the WIVK Shindig Shows.
The late Ted Goodman with WFMX radio in Statesville , N.C. wrote a song about his show, called “The Ronnie Campbell Show” and was performed by Travis Wayne.
When Ron left WIVK; he went to Waynesboro , TN with the Grand Ole’ Opry star the late Ernie Ashworth, in 1980. In 1981, he went to work for WSM radio until the middle 1980’s.
He began booking country and gospel shows and continued working in radio during that time.
Ron then got a job in 1988 with the Tennessee House of Representatives as Broadcast Information Officer where he is still employed. He still works with radio by sending out news reports to radio stations throughout Tennessee .
The past 19 years Ron has hosted “Old Time Gospel Singing” TV Show out of Nashville and has hosted numerous live gospel and country music shows. He’s also written a book about his early childhood years growing up in Upstate South Carolina called “The Old County: Another Place, Another Time.”
Ron was inducted into the Rockabilly DJ Hall of Fame, located in Jackson , Tn. He was also given an honorary doctorate for music evangelism and a doctorate of sacred music from Emmanuel Baptist University in York , Pa.
He has recorded several country and gospel CD’s.
He was also honored by the Tennessee House of Representatives with a house resolution for accomplishments in the industry. Music City Gospel Showcase honored Ron with the Pioneer Award for Gospel Music.
Ron says thanks to Steve Robinette with WVSG in West Virginia for all of his support.

News from the Philippines

Hello Pastor Steve; thank you for your prayers; the tribal outreach yesterday was successfully done. There were 120 children reached and all of them accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into their heart as Lord and Savior. To God is the glory! Thank you for your big heart to help us; we have so many activities this summer – Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, tribal outreaches and conducting seminar to different churches in the province. Please continue to pray for our funding to run this ministry especially this summer we have so many activities to be done and funds are not enough; but we always trust God and believe that GOD’S WORK DONE IN GOD’S WAY; WILL NEVER LACK SUPPLIES. •This came in from Annette McKibbon; Walt and I went to the New Wine Fresh Oil Conference in Hixson , Tennessee at Abba’s House. We had to leave the conference before the last session because my dad was taken ill and not expected to live. We drove all night straight through. We did get to the hospital in time for me to tell my dad that I loved him and he told me he love me. They were not expecting him to live through Wednesday night but the Lord allowed him to stay until Sunday morning. I was with him when he took his last breath at 2:43 and his heart stopped at 2:45 March 20, 2011. We had visitation on Tuesday evening and had over 340 people to attend. We celebrated his homecoming this past Wednesday morning at 11:00. I have been with mom a couple of days but came home last night. I am still numb but I am so glad he is not suffering. What a comfort to know he is in heaven and that I will see him again one day. I don’t know how people make it without the Lord and the presence of the Holy Spirit. His presence has been so comforting and tangible. What a mighty God we serve!!

“No Mountain Too Tall”

I’ve often wondered why someone would choose to climb a mountain that loomed dangerously high. They must surely recognize the risks, and the dangers that lay ahead of them as they begin their accent. I’ve always had a fear of heights myself, so this kind of experience would leave me breathless. Many times, I have pondered the scriptures, reading stories of how God met Moses, Elijah, Peter and John, and others on top of a mountain to show them His awesome glory. I place myself in their shoes for just a moment, recognizing the reality of those events. I often wonder how I would react if I saw a burning bush, or felt the mountains actually move from the sound of His voice. Yet, God bids us to climb that mountain.

I read just last night about how God told Moses to hide in the cleft of the rock, always a safe place to be; because Moses demanded to see God’s glory. I wondered if he knew what he was asking. God understood his request and instructed Moses to what he would have to do. He would cover Moses’ face with His hand, and when He passed by, Moses would see his back, because to see the face of God, he would surely die. Is that not a clear statement of who God is? He is so truly HOLY that one cannot be in His presence without being completely transformed. I read on to see how the Israelites could not even look at Moses face because he glowed from being in the presence of Almighty God. When Peter and John witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus, they questioned whether they should even be there. They experienced fear at the magnificent sight before them. I believe Jesus allowed them to see this scene to prepare them for what lay ahead after His ascension, when they would have to go on alone. But Jesus never left them or us alone, because He sent us another comforter, the precious Holy Spirit until His glorious return.

Still today, God invites us to ascend the stairway, to climb our mountain, to Heaven’s throne room to fellowship with Him. We find every excuse to avoid climbing that mountain, because it means allowing God to show us who we are and who He is. We go around, we cut through it, we even try to blow it up, to avoid the climb, but in order to have sweet fellowship with Him, we must first allow God to change our hearts by totally surrendering our will. He allows the Holy Spirit to be our guide, taking us one step at a time. He allows us to see ourselves through His eyes. It will be a rough climb, often causing us to trail far behind, as we reluctantly witness the painful review of our messed up lives without Jesus.

But then, though the storms howl about us, when the fires come down, and the mountain trembles, we hear HIS still small voice, whispering to us;” come to the cleft of the Rock and take shelter under my wings.” God always shows up right on time. He turns our nights into day. He transforms our sin-sick souls and makes us complete by the blood of His precious Son Jesus. We have a guide now, to take us to the mountaintop, where sweet communion is waiting and victory is forever ours. Let’s begin the climb. Get ready, for the Lord is about to pass by.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

1 lb Sliced Bacon, Diced

1 Med. Sweet Onion, Chopped 8 Eggs, Lightly Beaten

4 C. Frozen Shredded Hash Browns, thawed

1-1/4 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1-1/2 C Small Curd Cottage Cheese

1-1/4 C Shredded Swiss cheese

In a large skillet, cook bacon and onion until bacon is crisp, drain. In a bowl combine the remaining ingredients; stir in bacon mixture. Transfer to a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until set and bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
